Teacher Testimonials

“I believe extracurricular activities give students the opportunity to extend learning, extend creativity and enhance interpersonal skills.”  - Daniel Boone, Restorative Practices Assistant (Middle School, Nashville, TN)

“I saw first-hand the progression of one of my most challenging students. She started the year off with a lot of anger inside and was uncooperative during instruction. However, once she joined the Volleyball team, I saw a complete change in her. She improved all around because she had something positive to invest in.” LeBrandon Milbry-Tyree, Teacher (7th grade, Montgomery, AL)

“What a lot of 9th and 10th graders need is exposure, because at that age they really aren’t sure what they want to do. Most of my students, if they decide to go to college, will be first generation college students which is a huge deal for them. With proper exposure, the students can get a better idea of what they want to do when they begin making plans for college. Without proper exposure I’ve found that many of them begin to feel lost.”  Dominick Sanders, Teacher (9th and 10th grade, Memphis, TN)
